We’re excited to invite you to the latest session in the NBS EduWORLD project webinar series! This webinar will focus on steps 4 and 5 of the UrbanByNature programme, exploring how to foster commitment and implement long-term solutions that protect and enhance urban nature and biodiversity.

  • Simon Benateau will share insights on using citizen science to develop, implement and gain local acceptance for nature-based interventions.
  • Ana Simic and Ana Mitic will present Belgrade's innovative greening plans and participatory design processes for green corridors, in line with EU policies such as the Urban Nature Plans.
  • Swan Yee Tun Lwin and Berenice von der Goltz, the winners of the Belgrade case of the NBS EduWORLD Hackathon 2024, will team up with Carme Machi Castaner from ICLEI Europe, a sustainability consultant, to present their project in Belgrade. The project integrates environmental science principles, wetland design for riverbank stabilisation and river pollution control, providing an inspiring approach to incorporating NBS.
